Mokoroa taniwha arrives!
Our Mokoroa Taniwha has arrived! The wonderful Ms Daly has done an awesome job designing it for us. The Mokoroa Taniwha lived deep in the Waitakere creeks. He was known for having a fierce jaw, a powerful tail and a massive appetite! Kaiwhare's taniwha will be hung up soon too - so watch this space!
Welcome Mr Anderson!
We have new face in Mokoroa. Mr Anderson is a diploma student from Massey University. He will be with us until Week 8. Hope you enjoy your time with us and we look forward to doing some fun learning with you!
I think that you shouldn't be able to use Photoshop because it is lying to other people. Also people might see someone in a magazine that has used Photoshop on themselves to make them look skinnier. Then others they might stop eating food to try and look like that then they could get very sick by doing that. Also on ads, someone could be advertising something and Photoshop themselves and say you will look like this if you use that product. Also if you could Photoshop a place to make it look nicer but in reality it doesn't look nice people might go there then realize it isn't nice at all. That's why I think it is bad and wrong to Photoshop.
ReplyDeleteI think it should not be allowed because if you are making an advertisement and you say this is what you will look like, it will make you look young you are young. But in real life once you use it you will still look the same. People might also get jealous because they want that persons style and look. Even if there is a place and people say this is a beautiful place to be on your vacation and you should go there. Sometimes the place will look bad if they go there because it was Photoshop.
ReplyDeleteI think it could be good because if your making it just for yourself to see you would think more about how pretty you look and it will make your day more happier. If you look at yourself you will care more about your body and you will try to look like that person in the Photoshop photo. Even if your photo is Photoshopped, people will care about themselves and try make their body look more cooler just from one photo.
I think unrealistic photo expectations should be allowed because if someone does not look good then when you Photoshop it and that means it looks good. So that is why I would allow Photoshop because people could look better because your skin will be brighter and you will become skinnier and you will look good and feel better about themselves.
ReplyDeleteI think they should be able to photoshop because they can put nice photos in magazines. If they use nice photos of people, they will be able to keep these and put them in albums.
ReplyDeleteI think that Photoshop should be allowed because people want to look more pretty and if people have a problem on their face, they can fix it with Photoshop. The bad thing is that you are on Internet and if there is a photo, the photo might be made by Photoshop. It is the same thing when you buy a product, an example is that on TV, you see a product that says, "Here is the cream and your face will look like a new one. Buy it on Warehouse and it cost $23". SO the is the bad thing is about photo shop and the worse part is that they can steal your money.
ReplyDeleteI think Photoshop should not allowed because advisement companies. It does also create unreal expectations because if you say that if you get this you will have know pimples. And another reason that i think if you go to one of the Eiffel tower or the Great Wall of China you can say it is broken or you can change the way that it looks like
ReplyDeletei think Photoshop should stay legal is because you can change a way that a photo of some food for a menu then it could help the food look beater. If some body puts griffate on a house that you want to put a photo of online and you need to wait for some one to come and change the colour. if want to change your colour of your car before your car before you sell it.
No there is no Point it just changes the way you look in the photo not in real life so. It shod be algal so you no what the person looks like if he is going on a plane or a tour. If you go out with some one from a dating web site that had photo shop there profile you do not no who you are going out with so photo shop should be alegal.
ReplyDeleteHi my name is Maryam and I think that photo copying should not be allowed because if I was watching TV and I and a add come's on saying that there is this really good face cream that is good for heath and i buy it but it does nothing that will just be real sad and i have just wasted about one hundred dollars on nothing.

ReplyDeleteI think that photo shop shouldn't be allowed because people can actually see the truth behind of what products actually do to your face when you use them. Also people would also waste their money on buying the product if the product doesn't meet their expectations. Photoshop wouldn't be a helpful app in my opinion because I actually show the audience what the product does to your skin and if they get high expectations.

ReplyDeleteI think that photo shop shouldn't be allowed because it is just like lying. Someone could photo shop your passport and you wouldn't be able to fly anywhere on a plane. You could make hotel look really tidy and new and then someone pays you a lot to stay there and it turns out to be dusty and dirty. And maybe all the floorboards are gone...

I think Photoshop is not allowed because you are technically lying to the people in the world, parents,kids, and more. The people at first would think it is very good and when they come to the shop,or any other place and look at it or buy it and it doesn't work or doesn't look like what it's suppose to look then it is a waste of money and time. Maybe just Maybe you could sue the company but I don't so you can do it over Photoshoping. everyone won't go there anymore all the people can share it online so no one will buy it.

And other people might not want to be their self but they just have to cause that's the way they were born. It could change people's lives because if someone uses photoshop and then they see them in real life they could feel less confident. People use photoshop to become more popular but when people realise that it's photoshopped, they might not be as popular.

Also I think it should be against the law because it is lying to everyone that has tried it out. It make unrealistic expectation because it will look different, let's say someone is really lets say round but in the photo they are slim.

I think photoshop is great! Because you can send a photo to my friends and they will be so surprised at how good it looks. Right now I took a photo of the lake full of dead fish, but what I sent to them it looked all crystal clear and fish swimming all around. But it does create unrealistic expectations, because the lake I took a photo of google says that it is a waste land so I have to be careful, "you know what, who cares? I will keep on using photoshop."
